OWINGS MILLS, Md.– Heart to Beat is now offering lifesaving training classes to the general public at our new Owings Mills training facility. Courses are taught by current and former field practitioners and offer hands-on, realistic training that has been proven to save lives. “We’re excited to now have a professional, dedicated training facility,” said Gene Parker, partner at Heart to Beat. “[We can] now offer classes to the general public.”

Established in 2016, Heart to Beat offers comprehensive safety training taught by active or retired field practitioners, including EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and former military personnel. This level of expertise allows us to provide expert-level, real-world instruction while utilizing state-of-the-art training equipment. Classes include CPR/AED, First Aid, Stop the Bleed, Active Shooter, and periodic custom courses.

Thanks to the new training facility, classes are now open to the general public. Training covers important skills which are great for babysitters, lifeguards, boy scouts and girl scouts, parents, teachers, families, coaches, sports teams, and more. “Medical emergencies take place every day in all settings, not just the workplace. We want to help ensure that the broader community is trained in proper emergency response, not just those individuals fortunate to have employers which provide training,” said Parker. “Whether on the ball field, at home, or in the hardware store on the weekend, it’s important to be prepared for the unexpected.”

Heart to Beat’s classes are recognized by the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the American Heart & Health Institute, the American College of Surgeons, and OSHA. Courses come with a certification of completion, and most are good for 2 years.  Individuals can sign up for classes on Heart to Beat’s Eventbrite page.
Heart to Beat also offers AED and First Aid Cabinet sales and maintenance programs, which are provided to companies of all sizes throughout the United States. Please visit our Eventbrite page to sign up or browse upcoming classes. To learn more about Heart to Beat and our complete line of service offerings, contact us today!
